Whats new?

This semester of school has been crazy. I do not have a roommate right at the moment, but my RA tells me to prepare for a roommate. I applied to be an RA for next semester, and I made it to the first and second rounds of interviews. The first interview was really nervewracking. It was just myself, two other RAs, and one RHD. Then I got a letter stating that they would love to see me back for a second interview!! I was so happy. So the second interview was a group interview. I was so relaxed and clam. It was I guess harder becasue there were other girls in the group that wanted to take the leader position. I just let them have it. Now I was able to show my leadership and follower positions and I was really impressed with myself. Now I have to wait about two more weeks for another letter stating. . . Congrats we want you to be an RA, or We would love for you to be an Alternate RA, or Were sorry we did not want you as an RA. Now, I will be happy for which ever letter I get. AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH the wait is so hard though.

Other than living everyday with a smile on my face and happiness throughout my weeks, I am having so much fun.

Im 19!!!

Thursday was my birthday. I am now 19 years old. Thursday morning at 12am, I got a phone call and it was my friend wishing me a happy b-day. Then at 430am, I got another phone call from my father, I guess he doesn't believe in sleep, wishing me a happy b-day. I didn't answer the phone when he called cause I was too tired. So, I guess he wasnt happy and he had Bianca call me at 5am. Oh it gets better...at 7am I get a text from my mom telling me that she is at my dorm. I was so happy to see my mom. It was a great birthday surprise.

But the best surprise was when i opened my bedroom door, there was balloons and streamers. Katie and Kylee decorated my door. I have the best friends up here.

Hey guys this weekend was the first home football game. I had to so much fun at the game with my friends. NAU played SUU. It was really funny because the drunk students right in front of us kept on saying "go back to Utah". We were laughing because we all are Mormon.

Every year the NAU choir program puts on a Holiday Dinner to kick off the Christmas holiday Season. As a freshman, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Who knew that singing for about 12 hours is HORRIBLE. Friday we sang from 2pm-10pm. Then on Saturday we sang from 9am-12pm. Then at 3pm was the football game. My voice is sounds like hamburger.

Now I'm sick. I feel like my face is full of flem, my head is pounding, I can't keep my eyes open and my throat kills.

September 14

So today I wake up and remeber it is Shae's 16 birthday. My poor mother. She has three children 16 and older. Today was just a great day. I am really happy and not that too stressed out. I went to my classes, didn't really learn anything new, and had fun meeting new people and joking around with old ones. Tonight was our first night at FHE with the ward. The very few guys there, BBQ hamburgers and almost caught on fire. I thouhgt of Tyler (my brother). Then Jackie, a ward missonionary, invited the seven of us to Sunday Dinner at her house!!! YUMMY HOME MADE FOOD!!! We are so excited. After FHE, Kylee and I went to the workout room in our dorm. We began to run, laughed at eachother, workout, and laugh some more! I am wanting to workout everynight that I can. That is my new goal.

I highly encourage everyone to see the movie "Forever Strong". In this movies the Highland Rugby Team performs the Haka.
So you are now wondering why I have a picture of 4 really cute guys with no shirts on and flexing their muscles!!! Well, when I came down for Labor Day weekend, we had a BBQ and we went swimming. We, the girls, asked the boy if they can do the Haka and they said they know some of it. So very smartly we asked the boys to perform it for us and at the fanial pose i took a picture.
These boys are the most caring teenage boys I have ever met. They all have and honor the Preisthood and they always make sure I have a smile on my face. Trent Treadway, Josh Boyd, Skylar Shumway, and Grant Boyd. Thank you my Haka Warriors.
Arielle Gollahon is my roommate. She is from a little town called Moapa Valley, Nevada. It's alittle town on the border of Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. Her major is Secondary Education for History and a minor in Spanish. Sounds alittle like Aunt Robin.

This is what our bed room looks like. The beds are turned into the closet and the fridge is right in between. We raised the beds up high enough for the dressers to fit underneath the beds. We have SO much room now.

We are having so much fun here at NAU. We have met these girls that are totally awesome. Kylee, Katie, Megan, Nikki, and Kelsey. I already knew Nikki and Kelsey from church and high school. Kylee, Megan, Arielle and I are all in the same University 1 Ward. We all love to hang out with each other and make crazy pictures and videos.

Today I had and audition for the NAU Women's Choir!
I went into the room and met Dr. Ryan Holder and then was asked a few questions about my choir experiences and if I play the piano. He said its awesome that I know how to play the piano. Anyways, while I was warming up, he stopped and agreed with me that I am an Alto! I happy he agrees with me. After the warm ups, i sang "My Country Tis of Thee" easy. After that I sang back some pitches then I had to sight read. I totally messed up, oh well. While I was leaving, he told me to try on a dress!!! So YES!!! I made it into a University Choir!!! I am very excited. Thanks everyone for your help and support!
